PropertyZoom Terms of Use

1. Introduction
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of property-zoom.com, our mobile applications, and any related services (together, the "Platform"), operated by PropertyZoom ("PropertyZoom", "we", "us", "our").
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation (for example, as an estate agent or landlord), you confirm you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
2. Who we are
PropertyZoom is an online property marketplace that allows estate agents, letting agents, developers and property owners ("Advertisers") to market residential and commercial properties for sale or rent, and allows members of the public ("Users") to search for, enquire about, and save properties.
PropertyZoom is not an estate agent, letting agent, financial adviser, or party to any transaction between a User and an Advertiser. We provide a platform to connect Users and Advertisers; we do not verify, endorse, or guarantee any property listing, price, or Advertiser, beyond the checks described in our Safety and Security Centre.
3. Using the Platform
3.1 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or submit an enquiry through the Platform.
3.2 Your account
If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at contact@property-zoom.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
3.3 Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in a way that breaches these Terms
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including fake listings or enquiries
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform, other users' accounts, or our systems
- Scrape, crawl, harvest, or otherwise systematically extract data from the Platform without our prior written consent
- Upload viruses, malware, or any other harmful code
- Impersonate any person or entity, including PropertyZoom staff or Advertisers
- Use the Platform to send unsolicited marketing or spam to other users or Advertisers
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of our software, except where permitted by law
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform, without notice, for anyone who breaches these Terms.
4. Listings and content
4.1 Advertiser content
Property listings, descriptions, photographs, floor plans, and pricing are provided by Advertisers. While we carry out onboarding checks on Advertisers, we do not independently verify the accuracy of individual listings, and we are not responsible for errors, omissions, or changes in availability or price. Always confirm key details directly with the relevant Advertiser before making any decisions.
4.2 User-generated content
If you submit reviews, comments, or other content to the Platform, you grant PropertyZoom a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, and display that content in connection with operating and promoting the Platform. You are responsible for ensuring your content is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe the rights of others. We may remove content that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms.
5. Intellectual property
The Platform, including its design, text, graphics, logos, and underlying software, is owned by or licensed to PropertyZoom and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages from the Platform for your own personal, non-commercial use, but you may not otherwise copy, reproduce, republish, or distribute any part of the Platform without our prior written consent.
Scraping or automated extraction of listings or other data from the Platform is prohibited without our express written permission.
6. Property enquiries and third-party services
When you submit an enquiry, request a valuation, or apply for a mortgage, viewing, or similar service through the Platform, your information will be shared with the relevant Advertiser or third-party provider so they can respond to you. Any resulting communication, agreement, or transaction is solely between you and that Advertiser or provider, and PropertyZoom is not a party to it.
We may also link to or feature third-party services (such as mortgage brokers, removal companies, or conveyancers). We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site or service.
7. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, whether express or implied, regarding the Platform, including as to accuracy, completeness, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PropertyZoom shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform, including loss of profits, data, or opportunity, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss. This includes any loss arising from your reliance on listing information, or from dealings with Advertisers or third parties encountered through the Platform.
9. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold PropertyZoom harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Platform.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, or for legal or regulatory reasons. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes arising from them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory local consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
